Rhi O’Keefe
I am a disabled theatre maker with a deep passion for using theatre as a platform to explore taboo subjects, challenge social norms, and promote inclusivity. With a keen interest in storytelling that sparks conversation and fosters empathy, I work to create productions that not only entertain but also inspire meaningful change. My approach combines a strong understanding of the craft with a commitment to pushing boundaries and making space for diverse voices. I strive to create an environment where all stories are heard and everyone feels seen, both on stage and in the audience.
Inspired by these values, Rhi O'Keefe has built a diverse career across many areas of theatre and the performing arts. Passionate about creating opportunities for people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, she works as a director, producer, teacher, designer and backstage creative.
Rhi has directed and produced shows of all sizes and scales, working with both youth and adult companies and always seeking exciting new creative challenges. Alongside this, she teaches Musical Theatre, Acting, Singing, Public Speaking and LAMDA, supporting students of all ages and abilities, including those with SEND.
Her extensive backstage experience spans a wide range of production roles, from Stage Manager to Sound Number 2, giving her a strong understanding of the collaborative nature of theatre-making.
Rhi also creates promotional and design materials for productions and organisations, including flyers, programmes, logos and branding.
Based in Berkshire, Rhi brings creativity, enthusiasm and a collaborative spirit to every project she undertakes.
